Cakes are soft in nature that require a serrated knife to cut. In order to cut it like a boss, you need to run the knife lightly around the cutting areas of the cake and gentle sawing to cut the layers in half. Again, if not done with accuracy, it leads to distortion and slices may not be extracted as per your perception.
